Baláž Martin | Vice-president and Country Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Prologis
As the vice-president and country manager of Prologis for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Martin Baláž is in charge of the entire portfolio of the company on the Czech and Slovak markets. He manages investment projects and oversees rental activities in individual parks. He supervises all the Prologis leasing and building activities in both the countries, as well as the company activities in the field of property management and project management. He joined Prologis in 2014 as a senior leasing and development manager for CR and Slovakia. Before that he worked as an associate partner with Cushman & Wakefield, where he led the industrial and retail property department in Slovakia and the industrial property department in the Czech Republic.
Cihlářová Pavla | Director GS1 Czech Republic
Ing. Pavla Cihlářová studied the University of Economics in Prague. Having graduated, she worked as a mathematical analyst and an IT specialist in PORS Praha. At the beginning of the 1990s she was one of the first experts who had the opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical experience in the field of EDI within the Czech-German cooperation projects. She applied this experience as an EDI manager when she worked for EAN Czech Republic; she joined the organization in 1995. The Association EAN Czech Republic was later transformed into GS1 Czech Republic and Pavla Cihlářová became its director in 2006. In her position she has been supporting the dialogue between business partners mainly in the field of retail, FMCG and logistics for many years. She ranks among the leading promoters of standardization, electronization and digitalization. Pavla is a member of the GS1 in Europe Regional Executive Committee.
Cvačka Marek | General Manager, ESA logistika
Marek Cvačka graduated from the Faculty of Transport of the Czech Technical University in Prague and worked in the transport and logistic divisions of Letiště Praha, IKEA and Datart International. Before joining ESA logistika he held the position of the Global Logistics Sourcing Manager in the multinational group Danone.
Černý Josef | Senior WMS consultant and project manager, ICZ a.s.
RNDr. Josef Černý graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, majoring in Informatics. He began to deal with logistics through programming of integrated production systems including their material supply. Between 1993 and 1999, he was the Managing Director of a company engaged in the supply of information systems for the management of warehouse and manufacturing operations. Since 2000 he has been working at ICZ a.s., where he held the position of consultant and head of logistics department. He is currently engaged in logistics consulting and development of product and project opportunities. He is a member of the Chamber of Logistic Auditors and a long-term member of the Presidium of the Czech Logistics Association.
Doboš Vladimír | Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V, Representative Office Prague
After graduating from the University of Economics Prague in 1982, he joined the maritime department in Čechofracht. Then he worked at various positions in Čechofracht. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at the maritime department of the first private forwarding company in Czechoslovakia – LEP International, from 1992 to 2000 he was an executive director at the company specialized in providing comprehensive forwarding and logistics services – DM Express. Since 2001, he is a representative of Hafen Hamburg Marketing in Prague for the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

Hubeňák Martin | Antwerp Port Authority
The Antwerp Port Authority has enlarged the network of its representatives abroad with a new delegate for the Central and Eastern Europe. Since March 1, 2017 Mr. Martin Hubeňák represents the Antwerp Port Authority at the local markets in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and in Poland. One of his many tasks will be improving the perception of the Antwerp Port Authority brand as well as broadening of railway connections network between the Antwerp Port Authority and the above-mentioned countries of the Central and Eastern Europe. At that, he will make use of his experience as project manager, the position that he had in the company DB Schenker, and as Director for Logistics in the company Vítkovice Steel. Further, he will be responsible for keeping of regular contacts with local subjects active in the said branches and ensuring information exchange between them and the Antwerp Port Authority.
Kačírková Kateřina | Sales Manager, MD logistika
Kateřina Kačírková works at MD logistika as a sales manager. She is involved mainly in communication with existing and prospect clients, and she is in charge of negotiation of transport, warehousing and valued added services contracts. She joined the company in 2009; before that she worked for several logistic and retail companies in the field of food products sales and distribution (Findus CR a.s., Teekanne s.r.o., Transkam spol.s.r.o.).
Kepel Gilles | Director, Middle East and Mediterranean Program, Ecole Normale Supérieure
Gilles Kepel is a French political scientist and Arabist, specialized in the contemporary Middle East and Muslims in the West. Since 2001 he has been a university professor at the Paris Institute of Political Studies and since 2010 a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France and a Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics. Once one of the world’s leading experts for given topics, Prof. Kepel lectures at the best-established universities in France, Great Britain, the US, appears in the media and publishes his own books. His latest book, Away from Chaos. The executive director of Press21 and editor in chief of Retail News since 2010. Between 2010 and 2014, she simultaneously worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Marketing and Media Communication of the Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. She was the editor in chief of the Modern Retail monthly from 2002 till 2010. Before that she worked as an editor in Ekonom and in the economy department of ČTK (Czech Press Agency). She graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, Faculty of Management.

Karel Kopecek graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, Department of Foreign Trade. He worked as the sales manager for BP ČR and later as the sales and marketing manager in Berendsen ČR. At present he holds the position of a sales representative in Transics for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Kovařík Milan | Executive Director, EPAL National Committee Czech Republic and Slovakia
Ing. Milan Kovařík, MBA graduated from the university with specialisation in road and urban motor transport, and he continued his studies by an international marketing programme at the Czech Management Institute ESMA. He devoted a considerable part of his career to the field of finance, while working in management positions for example in Credit Suisse or Allianz. Since 2012 he has been focusing on occupational safety and health protection management in accordance with OHSAS 18001. He has been representing the EPAL National Committee for the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 2016. He is in charge of the overall committee operations, communication with the headquarters in Düsseldorf, cooperation with holders of the EPAL licence for EPAL pallet production or repairs, and last but not least for communication and cooperation with the Czech and Slovak public authorities.

Ing. Milan LUDVIK graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague and he has been engaged in the field of automatic identification for 22 years. Peleška Martin | Country Director, Toyota and Lexus, Czech Republic
Martin Peleska started his career in the automotive industry in 1999: he worked for Ford Motor Company in various post-sales services, sales, fleet management and dealer network development positions. Since 2006 he has been working for the representation of Toyota a Lexus where he started as a sales manager. Between 2009 and 2012 he worked in the Toyota Motor Europe headquarters in Brussels where he was in charge of sales and production planning and later also pricing of selected models. When he came back to the Czech Republic in 2012, he became the sales and marketing manager of Toyota Motor Czech s. r. o. and after the transformation to Toyota Central Europe he was appointed the country director for both the brands (Toyota and Lexus) on the Czech Market.
Pihar Jan | Managing Director of DACHSER Czech Republic
Jan Pihar has linked up his entire professional career with logistics. From 2019 Jan Pihar was appointed Managing Director of DACHSER Czech Republic. Jan Pihar studied at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Brno University of Technology. After graduating he participated in a study exchange programme in the USA. In 2004 he was behind the establishment of the DACHSER Břeclav branch, where he acted as the Branch Manager. In 2008 he was named the General Manager of the DACHSER Kladno branch.

Ing. Petr Rožek, Ph.D. has been working in the position of the SSL executive director since the beginning of 2017. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, and got his Ph.D. degree at the University in Pardubice. His main focus lies on sea transport. He was engaged in various management positions in a number of logistic companies. Last time he was in charge of the Czech branch of Eurogate Logistics.

Miroslav Rumler graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the University of Economics in Prague. He started his career in INSPEKTA a.s., a foreign trading company. Between 1991 and 1992 he studied for his postgraduate degree at the State University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in the United States, where he subsequently worked as an external consultant for The Limited Distribution Services Ltd., Columbus, Ohio. On his return from overseas, Miroslav started as the Country Operations Manager with Maccorp Holdings Ltd., a British financial company seated in London operating a network of branches all around Europe. Since 1994, he has been working for Reliant s.r.o., a professional training and consultancy company in the field of transport, forwarding and logistics. He is the managing partner of Reliant s.r.o.
Slečka Martin | Analyst and insurance claim assessor, SATUM CZECH
Having graduated from VOŠ AHOL College in Ostrava in 1998, he started his career in SATUM CZECH s.r.o. as a broker in the transport risk division, where he worked till 2002. In 2002 and 2003 he stayed abroad repeatedly. After his return from abroad he continued his work for SATUM CZECH s.r.o. where he specialises in training, consultancy and processing of claims connected with freight transport.
Sovička Pavel | General Manager, Panattoni Europe, Czech Republic and Slovakia
Pavel Sovicka started his business career in Cushman & Wakefield where he spent 10 years in total. Since 2008 he has been leading Panattoni Europe as the Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He has 20 years of experience in the industry in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. He was engaged in transactions representing 1,500,000 m2 of leased and sold premises. The key projects managed by Pavel Sovicka include for example Panattoni Park Prague Airport I and II, the Amazon distribution centre in Dobrovíz (the largest leased industrial building in the Czech Republic having the area of 120 000 m2), Panattoni Park D5 / Stříbro and Panattoni Park Cheb with Tchibo as the most important tenant (the second largest leased building in the Czech Republic, 75 000 m2).
Strnad David | Head of Logistics at ŠKODA AUTO
David has been with ŠKODA AUTO for 20 years already. He has been working in various managerial positions in the field of production and logistics since 2008. He started to gain his first international experience within the Volkswagen group in 2010 when he was given a chance to participate in the development programme for young managers and get involved in the operations of Audi, Neckarsulm. In 2014 David became the Head of ŠKODA AUTO Logistics Planning being responsible for planning in all the company plants both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the position, he managed projects such as the fully automated small parts warehouses in Kvasiny and Mladá Boleslav plants. Between 2018 and 2019 he headed the Volkswagen Group in Kaluga, Russia. Since July 2020 he has been newly working as the Head of Logistics at ŠKODA AUTO and became the successor of Ing. Jiří Cee who had managed the department for 20 years.

Špicar Radek | Vice-president, Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic
Radek Špicar graduated from the Charles University in Prague and the University of Cambridge. In the past he served as the Deputy to the Vice-Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Czech Republic and later as the Head of External Affairs in Škoda Auto.
