Baláž Martin | Vice-president & Country Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Prologis

As the vice-president and country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Martin Baláž is in charge or the entire Czech and Slovak portfolio of the company. He also manages the company’s investment projects and lease activities in distribution parks. He supervises all the leasing and construction activities as well as activities in the field of real property management and project management; he also manages investment projects and park lease processes in the period that is crucial in terms of where Prologis will be heading to in the future. Martin Baláž joined Prologis in 2014 and became a senior manager for leasing and development in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Before that he worked as the associate partner in Cushman & Wakefield, where he headed the department of industrial and retail premises in Slovakia and the department of industrial property in the Czech Republic. Martin has a Construction and Real Estate MBA degree from the College of Estate Management in Reading, United Kingdom.

Bílý Michal | Sales Director, GS1 CZECH REPUBLIC

Mr. Michal Bílý began his career in one of the state enterprises for the production of foodstuffs after the finalization of his studies at the Technical University of Chemistry (specialization of macromolecular chemistry) in 1977. His first activities were realized on the field of development and purchase of packaging materials. The packaging materials, packaging techniques, wraps, designs and marketing were the main focuses of his working activities in most of the following years. As a result of his many years spent being a manager of the purchase department and a sales director, he gained accurate and specific skills and methods in this field. After another few years holding the same position in a Belgian firm, he acquired a vision of the European context as well. He has been working for GS1 Czech Republic from 2006, where he is also using his long-term experience as a previous member of the Board of this organization.

Cvačka Marek | General Manager, ESA logistika

Marek Cvačka graduated from the Faculty of Transport of the Czech Technical University in Prague and worked in the transport and logistic divisions of Letiště Praha, IKEA and Datart International. Before joining ESA logistika he held the position of the Global Logistics Sourcing Manager in the multinational group Danone.

Černý Bohuslav | Key Account Manager, Schoeller Allibert Czech Republic

Bohuslav Černý has been working for Schoeller Allibert since 1999; at first as a sales representative, later as a key account manager. In 2013 he became the Sales Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2016 he was appointed the Business Development Manager Automotive CEE, and since 2017 he has been working as the Key Account Manager focusing on the most important clients. Thanks to his long-year experience he is considered as a leading expert in his field of activity.

Černý Josef | Senior WMS consultant and project manager, ICZ a.s.

RNDr. Josef Černý graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, majoring in Informatics. He began to deal with logistics through programming of integrated production systems including their material supply. Between 1993 and 1999, he was the Managing Director of a company engaged in the supply of information systems for the management of warehouse and manufacturing operations. Since 2000 he has been working at ICZ a.s., where he held the position of consultant and head of logistics department. He is currently engaged in logistics consulting and development of product and project opportunities. He is a member of the Chamber of Logistic Auditors and a long-term member of the Presidium of the Czech Logistics Association.

Dobešová Renata | Sales Director, EKOBAL

She graduated from the University of Finance and Administration in Prague with specialisation in Business Management and Finance. Since 1998 she has been working for EKOBAL s.r.o., a leading manufacturer of packaging technology and supplier of packaging materials. She became the sales director in 2003, being in charge of implementation and development of the company’s business and sales strategy, including new product launches, long-term strategic projects, and overall organization of the central warehouse logistics or logistic operations optimisation. She will come to share her 20+ year experience from the packaging industry and talk about the topic related to the current draft of a legislation amendment extending the shipper’s responsibility for load security.

Doboš Vladimír | Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V, Representative Office Prague

After graduating from the University of Economics Prague in 1982, he joined the maritime department in Čechofracht. Then he worked at various positions in Čechofracht. From 1990 to 1992 he worked at the maritime department of the first private forwarding company in Czechoslovakia – LEP International, from 1992 to 2000 he was an executive director at the company specialized in providing comprehensive forwarding and logistics services – DM Express. Since 2001, he is a representative of Hafen Hamburg Marketing in Prague for the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

Dočekal Pavel | Head of Regulatory Affairs, innogy Česká republika a.s.

Mgr. Ing. Pavel Dočekal graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague. He started his career at the Ministry of Industry and Trade and then worked in different positions in the gas industry. Today he works as the Head of Regulatory Affairs in innogy Česká republika a.s. At the same time he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Board and the chairman of the Legal Committee of the Czech Gas Association.

Ing. Jakub Holec, SIOR, MRICS - Jakub is the owner and executive director of 108 AGENCY. He founded the company in 2009 and he is personally involved in a number of key transactions. Hubeňák Martin | Antwerp Port Authority

The Antwerp Port Authority has enlarged the network of its representatives abroad with a new delegate for the Central and Eastern Europe. Since March 1, 2017 Mr. Martin Hubeňák represents the Antwerp Port Authority at the local markets in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and in Poland. One of his many tasks will be improving the perception of the Antwerp Port Authority brand as well as broadening of railway connections network between the Antwerp Port Authority and the above-mentioned countries of the Central and Eastern Europe. At that, he will make use of his experience as project manager, the position that he had in the company DB Schenker, and as Director for Logistics in the company Vítkovice Steel. Further, he will be responsible for keeping of regular contacts with local subjects active in the said branches and ensuring information exchange between them and the Antwerp Port Authority.

Jahoda Petr | General Manager, Sony DADC Czech Republic

Ing. Petr Jahoda, M.B.A. graduated from the University of Economics, Prague with specialisation in Business Economics and Management and completed his MBA studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been working as a member of the Sony DADC management since 2011. In the recent years he has dealt mainly with logistics, reverse logistics and transport. He was among other things in charge of launching of the European returned shipment management centre with the capacity of 20 million pieces per year, and operation of the European distribution centre in Nyrany. Before he started to work for Sony he had managed for example a national network of electronics repair shops, operations of the biggest European distribution centre of Tech Data, or an automotive component production factory.

Kaizr Jaroslav | Head of Industrial Agency, Agency Department, Savills Czech & Slovak Republics

Jaroslav has 15-year experience on both the agent and developer side of the Central European real estate market. He specializes in industrial property letting and in-land transactions. In October 2017 he was appointed the Head of Industrial Agency, Czech and Slovak Republics, in Savills. Before joining the Savills team he worked as a business development director for CTP where he managed a portfolio of more than 4 million m2 of commercial properties in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Even before that he worked for Cushman & Wakefield and became a Partner in 2011. There he headed the industrial property team in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2013 he became a board member of RICS in the Czech Republic and in autumn 2018 he co-founded the Real Estate Investment, Development and Valuation MBA program at the University of Economics in Prague (MBARE).

Between 2010 and 2014, she simultaneously worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Marketing and Media Communication of the Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. Lukáš Kovanda, Ph.D., is a Czech economist and author focusing on economic literature, and is Chief Economist at CZECH FUND. He is a Department of Economics lecturer at the University of Economics in Prague and is a member of the Scientific Board of the Czech Banking Association. Ing. Milan Kovařík, MBA graduated from the university with specialisation in road and urban motor transport, and he continued his studies by an international marketing programme at the Czech Management Institute ESMA. He devoted a considerable part of his career to the field of finance, while working in management positions for example in Credit Suisse or Allianz. Since 2012 he has been focusing on occupational safety and health protection management in accordance with OHSAS 18001. He has been representing the EPAL National Committee for the Czech Republic and Slovakia since 2016. He is in charge of the overall committee operations, communication with the headquarters in Düsseldorf, cooperation with holders of the EPAL licence for EPAL pallet production or repairs, and last but not least for communication and cooperation with the Czech and Slovak public authorities.

Pavel Osička graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at VUT Brno. At Linde Material Handling, he works as a Sales Director and participates in the company's long-term strategic plans, prediction of intralogistics development trends, evaluation of key business opportunities and the direction of the future product portfolio. Pavel Osička together with the intralogistics team solves complex warehousing projects of customers in liason with Industry 4.0. principles. Jan Pihar studied at the Faculty of Management and Economics of the Brno University of Technology. After graduating he participated in a study exchange programme in the USA. Ing. Petr Rožek, Ph.D. has been working in the position of the SSL executive director since the beginning of 2017. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague, and got his Ph.D. degree at the University in Pardubice. His main focus lies on sea transport. He was engaged in various management positions in a number of logistic companies. Last time he was in charge of the Czech branch of Eurogate Logistics.

Miroslav Rumler graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the University of Economics in Prague. He started his career in INSPEKTA a.s., a foreign trading company. Between 1991 and 1992 he studied for his postgraduate degree at the State University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in the United States, where he subsequently worked as an external consultant for The Limited Distribution Services Ltd., Columbus, Ohio. On his return from overseas, Miroslav started as the Country Operations Manager with Maccorp Holdings Ltd., a British financial company seated in London operating a network of branches all around Europe. Having graduated from VOŠ AHOL College in Ostrava in 1998, he started his career in SATUM CZECH s.r.o. as a broker in the transport risk division, where he worked till 2002. In 2002 and 2003 he stayed abroad repeatedly. Pavel Sovicka started his business career in Cushman & Wakefield where he spent 10 years in total. Since 2008 he has been leading Panattoni Europe as the Managing Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He has 20 years of experience in the industry in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. He was engaged in transactions representing 1,500,000 m2 of leased and sold premises. The key projects managed by Pavel Sovicka include for example Panattoni Park Prague Airport I and II, the Amazon distribution centre in Dobrovíz (the largest leased industrial building in the Czech Republic having the area of 120 000 m2), Panattoni Park D5 / Stříbro and Panattoni Park Cheb with Tchibo as the most important tenant (the second largest leased building in the Czech Republic, 75 000 m2).

Ing. Petr Ungerman graduated from the Technical University of Liberec, Faculty of Economics and Administration with specialisation in economics and management.Since 2014 he has been working for ŠKODA AUTO; he led the group responsible for innovation management, logistics strategy, cooperation with universities and green logistics. He managed projects focusing on Industry 4.0 implementation into logistic processes: Enhanced/Virtual Reality and Autonomous Logistics.At present he works as a logistics planning coordinator for production of aggregates: gearboxes, axles and batteries. Ing. Jiří Vágner graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Technical University in Brno. Since 1995 he has been involved in preparation and implementation of projects in the field of modern power engineering, particularly green power resources, combined production of electrical and thermal energy, as well as projects utilising renewable resources. He managed a number of successful projects for corporate clients such as ČEZ, Veolia Energie ČR, MVV Energie or Pražská teplárenská.
